CWFS SICK BENEFIT

WHO CARES WHEN YOU ARE ILL?
WE DO!

• The CWFS Sickness Benefit Scheme provides income when you are off sick.
• If you do not receive those vital allowances when you are ill, this is for you.
• Deductions of premiums from wages.
• Valuable Death Cover is paid to your nominated person.

If you are off work through illness you can have a payment of £60 Per Week. If you work for the Royal Mail Group or British Telecom and are aged under 55, you can join. Telephone 0800 243 972 for an application form

In order to claim you must submit your policy document with a claim form. A Doctors Certificate ( copy ) shall also be required, covering the member from the first days sickness. Self Certification is not acceptable. Sick Benefit will be paid after the first three weeks deffered period of sickness and up to five months in any twelve month period. Claims must be submitted within twenty-one days except in difficult circumstances i.e.sudden illness, hospitalisation, or a serious accident. The member or his/her nominated person may submit the claim within the twenty-one day period without loss of benefit. Sick Benefit will be paid at half rate after a member's 60th birthday. A Death Benefit of £1,500 plus 5% bonus per year will be paid to the members nominee.
